Rochon was born and raised in Torrance. She is the child of Zelma Staples (a nurse practitioner) as well as Samuel Staples (a businessman and graphic artist). Cerritos was her primary high school. Ullerup first appeared in Battlestar Galactica remake, the Sci-Fi Channel's television show. She played Julia Brynn. Her character, Ashley Magnus, was written out of Sanctuary's first and second season. She was the subject of controversy among the fans who wanted her to return in future shows. But, the show was eventually removed in the year 2012. In 2016, Ullerup was cast as Bree O'Brien in Chesapeake Shores. Ullerup portrayed Maggie Thomas in Asteroid: Final Impact, the movie which was about the catastrophe of 2015. Ullerup, who has a character in Dale Travers, is one of the characters that have appeared in Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered films since the year 2016.
